Re-Test MOTs in Cranleigh |
|
| |
When a vehicle has its MOT and the result is a fail, you’ll be notified by us before you come and collect the vehicle. This gives you several options on going about the next MOT test it will need to take – details to follow below.
Firstly, should the vehicle fail and you come to pick the vehicle up we’ll issue you with a VT30 certificate that clearly states on what grounds the car/van/lorry failed.
Sometimes it’s necessary for works and repairs to be carried out on the vehicle. These works can be carried out by our MOT Cranleigh testing and repair team. We can discuss with you, thoroughly what needs to be done and we’ll give you a no obligation quotation.
You can then choose for us to carry out the necessary repair works and then re-test it, or you can choose to have the vehicle repaired off site (although you won’t then qualify for a free re-test).
If you decide for CCM to repair your vehicle, either leave it with us or bring it back to us by the end of the next working day. If the repairs are any of the following points, we won’t charge you any additional monies to carry out a new re-test:

If your car’s MOT results in failure at our MOT test centre in Cranleigh and you choose to leave your vehicle with us for repair, it’s then re-tested within 10 working days (although we normally carry out this re-test straight away, only delays occur when we are waiting for unique parts or spares) then just a partial re-test is needed. CCM make no charge for this test, it’s done totally free of charge.
You may have your vehicle repaired elsewhere. If you return it to CCM for the re-test we’ll partially re-test it but the test will incur a small fee.
For failures from other conditions not stated above it will be necessary for a complete MOT re-test to be carried out. This test is charged for in full.

MOT Preparation |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Here are some areas to check on your vehicle before you bring it in for its MOT that could help your MOT be a pass rather than a fail – remember, prevention is the cure!
Please note – you always need to bring your V5C Vehicle Registration Document with you when you come along for your MOT, along with the current MOT certificate.
Don’t forget. An MOT in Cranleigh is not a substitute for regular servicing. Regular servicing is vital to ensure maintenance and well being of your vehicle. Vehicle parts will and can deteriorate or perish. Vehicles that are regularly maintained and serviced are more likely to pass an MOT first time around. CCM Cranleigh also provides vehicle servicing. Contact us on 01293 871 430 for more information or send us an email.
What’s more, the MOT does not qualify any statement of the condition of the vehicle should it be offered for sale.
If you have time, take a moment to check your vehicle before you bring it in for its MOT test. These simple checks are easy to carry out yourself...
Alternatively, speak to us today about an MOT Pre-Test that anticipates any possible failures – contact us today on 01483 278 166 or email us.
